CPaaS Platform HLR Number Lookup Service
Number validators connect directly to core mobile network infrastructure to obtain real-time user information, including number validity status and current network assignment. This data originates from the same internal system mobile operators use for authentication and routing.
This type of lookup is often mislabeled as "HLR lookup." While the term derives from Home Location Register (HLR) - a core component of mobile network architecture that stores visited subscriber data - HLR itself is not a service. Using its name to describe number validation is technically inaccurate and commercially misleading.

HLR Validation Results Return
Real-time HLR lookup provides reliable customer data through HLR Lookup API, allowing companies to obtain user status via phone numbers.
Active: Number is enabled and can receive traffic.
Unreachable: Temporarily unavailable (e.g., powered off or out of coverage).
Barred: Service is currently restricted or blocked.
Invalid: Number is deactivated or unassigned.
Unknown/Error: Network cannot determine real-time status or no response. Additionally, the Mobile Country Code-Mobile Network Code (MCC-MNC) will display the actual current provider of the number, even if ported.
Validation results provide enterprises with high conversion
Contact active numbers to save advertising budgets - every failed call or SMS wastes resources and slows team efficiency. HLR validates numbers before dialing, reducing failed attempts and unnecessary costs. With this feature, your SMS or voice marketing campaigns achieve higher connection rates.
